DEACON LED MINISTRY TEAMS

               In order to increase the effectiveness of the Deacon Ministry at First Baptist, Foley and to include more church members in ministry, we have organized into Deacon Led Ministry Teams.  There are several benefits in doing this:

           1.  Deacon-led ministry teams coordinate ministry to meet specific needs in the church and community.

          2.  Deacons and members seek God's direction in finding opportunities to serve and to meet needs.

          3.  Ministry opportunities are flexible, fluid, and ever changing because they are needs based.

          4.  More church members become involved in ministry

          5.  When the entire congregation participates in meeting needs, the church offers practical lessons in Christianity to 
             the community through caring projects.

          6.  Deacon-led ministry teams reach out to the unchurched as well as to hurting people inside the church.

 

               These are the Deacon Led Ministry Teams currently ministering at First Baptist:

1.  Hospital Visitation Team - Led by Hunter Plott.

2.  Hospitality Team - Led by Mik Mikkelsen.

3.  Card-writing Team - Led by Marion Lee.

4.  Care-calling Team - Led by Ed Martin

5.  Helping Hands Team - Led by Henry Sonora

6.  Security Team - Led by Harold Bryson
