Dr. Billy Nale has been pastor of First Baptist church since February of 2000. Billy grew up the son of an Army officer and has lived in many states and overseas. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. Before coming to First Baptist Billy served churches in North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. He and his wife, Rhonda, have two children and three grand-children.
Greg joined our staff in August of 2014. He is a native of Meridian, MS where his ministry career began. Since then he has served in several churches located in Laurel, MS; Calhoun City, MS; and in Anderson, SC. Greg is a graduate of Southern Mississippi where he earned a BA in Music Education (Piano, Choral) and received his MA in Worship Studies from Liberty University. As an arranger of orchestral and choral music he has had compositions performed by various churches, community bands, and a symphonic orchestra. Before moving to Foley, he was pianist for the Anderson Symphony and one of the musical directors for Project Challenge Playhouse. As a worship leader his passion is working with the choir and, orchestra, and rhythm section through music of all generations to help people respond to the greatness of God. First Foley is also blessed with the musical talents of his wife, Christy (Flutist/vocalist/music teacher) and their two children, Maddie (Vocalist) and Jacob (guitar/saxophone).
Sharon has been employed at FBC Foley since 2007. She began her employment as the church secretary and nursery worker and is now the FBC Foley's Office Manager and Financial Secretary. She works with the Counting Committee and the Finance Committee which is made up of church volunteers. She also organizes office volunteers who are a tremendous help each week. Sharon is married to Mark Collins and they have two children (Haleigh and Hunter). She is a senior at Troy University and is graduating with a BS in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Sharon is a member of the Alabama Association of Baptist Secretaries, American Association of Christian Counselors, and the National Rehabilitation Association.
Roxanne joined our staff in Jan. 2016. She is a native of Foley, Al and has attended our church since 2007. She has taught Sunday School for the past 5 years and also serves on the Missions Committee. Roxanne and her husband Damon have three boys (George, Marcus, and Trey.)
Matt joined our staff in February 2015. He is a native of Ripley, MS where he began in ministry the age of 15. Matt has served in several churches in across North Mississippi in a number of capacities. He earned a BS in Psychology from Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, MS with a focus in Marriage and Family Counseling. Matt’s passion is building strong families and strong disciples for the Kingdom. Matt also has a heart for helping families, couples and individuals who may need help in dealing with issues that arise in life and offers Christian counselling services. Matt and his wife Summer are the proud parents of 3 daughters, Samantha, Ella, and Teelie. They are also expecting a son, Canaan, who will be born in May.
